Beautiful vivid green vintage 'majolica' cake stand. Although this is the vine pattern rather than designed to look like cabbage leaves, it is often collected under the heading 'cabbageware'. The term majolica applies to this type of earthenware pottery with a lead glaze. The cake stands aren't easy to come by! This doesn't have any makers marks that I can see, so not necessarily very old, but likely to be from 19th century or early 20th.
It is very good condition, no visible chips or cracks. It is 23cm diameter and 12cm in height.
