Vintage accordion coat rack

Sorry, this item has sold.

We're not really sure how old these 'accordion' coat hooks are, made of wooden lathed halved sticks fixed together with wooden pegs. Possibly Edwardian, or any time up to the 60s they have a beautiful aged-looking patina. All but one of the knobs has its original white china finial too! Presumably these were made to fold up for travelling purposes, but they also add a wonderful trellis decorativeness to the look of the piece! Originally made with eyelet hooks at the top to hang on two hooks on the wall, but one has come off and in this day and age it would make more sense to drill directly into the wall using screws/wall plugs for improved sturdiness. We have 'revived' the wood finish with our secret mixture but done nothing else, to keep the original look from the time. Lovely!

Dimensions are as follows:

Length of whole set when extended as in first picture: 54cm
